About Bethany

Bethany is a writer, creative and performer hailing from bonnie Scotland. She graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2018 with a degree in Musical Theatre, and has since then worked in theatre, film, and live music. 

In 2017 Bethany founded the performance and events company- Renfrew Collective. Through this she has hosted a series of events promoting accessibility in live art, and featuring a selection of new original work. To find out more about the company click here. 

News and Upcoming Events

In September 2020, 'Our Ladies' will have its general cinematic release. Directed by Michael Caton-Jones, this will be Bethany's film debut, which she is thrilled about.

Bethany is also writing music and lyrics for Thread, a new Scottish Musical. Chosen as a recipient for Paisley Arts Centre's New Writing Festival grant, it explores class distinctions and sexuality in Scotland, and focuses on folk storytelling and actor-musicianship. 

Currently BLEED, a short film starring Bethany, is premiering at Dancefilm (Spain) and Screen Dance Scotland. Bethany also wrote the score for this piece, with her single from the film, also titled BLEED, hitting Apple Music and Spotify later this year. The film was directed by Fraser Scott, for Kick The Door productions.
